Role    Team Leader(s) Remarks
ACT Volunteer ACT Millie Gollings Our volunteers bless people with one-off ACTs of kindness during a time of need, e.g. when a family has welcomed a new baby, there is sudden illness, a bereavement or life just becomes too much. We provide simple meals, treats, gifts and cards to encourage them or help with chores like vacuuming, ironing and dog walking.
Cake Baker Cafe@SML Sue Payne Homemade cakes are a big part of the Café@SML and really appreciated by our customers - as the café is getting busier, more cakes are being eaten! Our bakers make a cake once a month during term time, so it’s not onerous. If you like baking, why not contact Sue to ask how you can help?
Children's Helper Children Emily Duffy Please consider volunteering for just one Sunday a month to help with kids on a Sunday. It’s easy, it’s fun and you will be guided as to what to do.
Flower Arranger Flower Team Jan Turner If you love flowers and have an artistic flair, we are looking for volunteers to do the flower arrangements in Church. Experience is not necessary and you’d only do this occasionally during the year.
Creche Helper Focus Jan Turner If you love young children, why not become a helper at the Focus crèche which releases young mums while they meet for fellowship and bible study? It’s on Tuesdays, 9.30 to 11.30 am, during term time.
Refresh! Volunteer Refresh! Paul Eaton A key part of our welcome is serving refreshments at our Sunday services. It’s a great way to meet people! Our volunteers typically serve once a month at their usual Sunday service. Please contact Paul if you’d like to know more.
Sandwich Maker Soup Kitchen Phil Harvey The Soup Run does a fantastic job feeding the homeless in Poole. The team needs a couple of ‘roll makers’ to make around 30 rolls every 4-6 weeks to be brought to church for the soup run. Speak to Phil for more details.
Sunshines Play Group Helper Sunshines   Sunshines is a thriving mother and toddler play group for our community. If you have a heart for children and families this may be for you. We are looking for someone to help us on Mondays during term time from 9.15 to 11.45 am.
Visual Media Operator Visuals Media Josh Naylor We do stage lighting, multimedia presentations and video at Sunday services, weddings and courses. We will train you to operate the equipment and encourage creativity in choosing lighting, backgrounds and transitions. We work closely with the sound desk, worship leader, service leader and preacher. Most of us do around 5 services/quarter, but we’re flexible.
Welcomer Welcome Claire Inkpen As a church we want to warmly welcome everyone to our services. If you like meeting people, this may be for you. Our volunteers typically serve once a month at their usual Sunday service. We are especially looking for help at the 8.45 am and 6.30 pm services.
