Life Groups are central to SML’s Vision to ‘Thrive in healthy, love-fIlled Community’.
Regular members of SML are encouraged to join a Life Group for Bible Study, Worship, Prayer, Support and Service. In a church of this size, Life Groups have a vital role to offer in relation to building places of belonging. They are also wonderful contexts in which to nurture, and to hold one another accountable to, the core discipleship practices of belonging, feeding, praying, giving and serving.
SML Life Groups offer a place:
Of belonging, in which to build strong friendships & where deep sharing can occur
To encounter God in worship, silence, study, reflection and prayer
Of growth, personally and corporately, both in numbers and in faith
To be equipped for service
SML has over thirty Life Groups, arranged into a number of Clusters. The majority of these groups are mixed all-age groups, but we also have a cluster of women-only groups, most of which meet during the day. We also have groups especially for students and those in their early 20s.
If you would like to join a Life Group please fill in a ‘Life-Group Request Form’ which can be found in the reception area of church. If you haven’t already done so, it will also be helpful to fill in a Welcome Card.
These can also be found at the back of the church.
